Each Yohann is precisely milled from a solid wood in a traditional craftman’s workshop in northern Italy, the heart of world class furniture manufacturing. Only sustainably grown wood from european and american plantations is used. Each surface is carefully sanded by hand in several steps in the Black Forest in southern Germany.

Finally Yohann is oiled, sanded and treated with a natural wax to bring out the beautiful grain and to achieve a smooth and pleasant touch. All the finishing is carefully made by handicapped people in a local sheltered workshop. Every YOHANN comes with a handmade pouch and is packaged in a simple lightweight and recyclable card box.

Sillber is a design studio based in Basel, Switzerland. Berend is an architect and inventor of Yohann. He and his team share a great passion for designing furniture and products combining functionality with a reduced design and quality materials.
Use the iPad Air 2 comfortably and in an easy way
The iPad Air 2 minimalist design is great for mobility, but it can be difficult to use comfortably when you are in fixed locations for longer periods. The majority of the time we use our iPad Air 2 at home or in the office where we find ourselves using the iPad Air 2 in a variety of situations and positions. Regardless of the situation, we want to be able to use the iPad Air 2 comfortably and in an easy way.
Every YOHANN comes with a handmade pouch and is packaged in a simple lightweight and recyclable card box. Both pouches and packaging are made by dedicated people working in the same sheltered workshop as mentioned above. Also Warehousing and shipping are organized there.
