Stunning Wooden Walkway Along A River In Portugal
In Nature by Emily, July 18, 2016
The outstanding 8km-long scenic ‘Paiva walkway‘ that slaloms near the Paiva River in the Portuguese countryside was designed by the Arouca Municipality and an engineer company Trimetrica. The boardwalk is perfect for exploring the stunning landscapes of this region, including various waterfalls and cliffs.
Project initiators say: “More than a simple walk in contact with the nature, this is a unique experience deeply characterized by a dramatic landscape and an infrastructure that interferes as little as possible with the landscape. ”
The walkway even includes a bridge crossing the Paiva River. If you ever end up in Northern Portugal make sure you explore this winding pathway through magical surroundings.
