Spread 10y: Wooden Magazine Rack
In Design by Anja, January 26, 2016
Spread 10Y Wooden Magazine Rack was designed by Antonio Maria Privitera, the founder of Studio Inesistente.
You might be wondering about its unusual name “Spread” and peculiar shape. The designer was inspired by Italy’s financial crisis and huge debt in 2011 and since the word “spread” was the most used and most worrying word back then, it fit the rack perfectly. The wooden rack is hand-made by ZANA Lab and is shaped as the famous graph showing Italy’s crisis. It also maps the transition between the Silvio Berlusconi government and that of Mario Monti.
A truly outstanding piece of furniture!
