Mysterious Craters In Siberia Might Be A Sign Of Something Very Alarming
In Nature by Woodz, April 1, 2016

In the summer of 2014, some people stumbled across bizarre 30-meter-wide (100 feet) craters in the middle of Yamal Peninsula in Siberia, Russia.

Mysterious craters in Siberia might be caused by global warming

Various theories about their formation have flown around over the past two years, from asteroids, explosions and even UFOs. However, scientist have now revealed a startling conclusion. They believe that climate changed caused this freak geological occurance.

According to their discovery, permafrost (permanently frozen ground covering tundra) is beginning to melt. As the permafrost melted, methane trapped in the ice escaped and left behind these huge craters.

Unusual events like this will only increase in the future if we don’t do something to reduce global warming.

We hope that at least some of you will get inspired to recycle a little bit extra after seeing the following video!
