On New Year’s morning a kind man named Nelson Wilson was feeding horses. He noticed a solitary sparrow perched upon the steel fence near the water tank. Apparently this unfortunate bird had gotten its feet wet and, while making its exit, had become frozen to the fence in the prevailing near zero Idaho temperatures.
Mr. Wilson used his warm breath to free it. He was hugging small bird with one hand and blew warm breath on it’s little feet.
When tiny feet unstick the sparrow flew into freedom.
“A delightful way to start a new year”, Wilson added.
