This Faure Halvorsen design features a guest house and a lookout tower above the main home. The Foxtail Residence is built entirely of rustic logs and featuring lots of reclaimed materials. Featured in both the Big Sky Journal Home and Log Cabin Homes in 2013, this is undoubtedly the apex of Big Sky log cabins.

As with any home, its about getting what you really want
The architects: Old West and New West meet in Big Sky Montana where a love for the Old Western movies combines with home. The owners of this Big Sky masterpiece worked closely with Faure Halvorsen Architects, taking part in the entire design process, from the initial pencil sketches to the final details, and everything in between. ”As with any home, its about getting what you really want and the best way to do that is to get directly involved in the process,” the owners say, noting that Faure’s experience in the log home sector went a long way in making that part of the project easier. ”Matt has a lot of experience in architectural design and helped us pin down exactly what we did and did not want in our home.”
