Every week one person who likes and comments one of our Instagram posts will be chosen to share their story.
This week we present the story of a Birdhouse builder from Spain, Rubén. All of his life he has been living in a country house by the river in Asturias in Northern Spain where he fell in love with the green and wooded nature. Woodworking has always been his passion, but he also likes gardening, hiking, and taking care of animals.
»I think it’s a gift that comes from my family.«
He creates a piece by simply visualizing the final idea, without the need for sketches or previous tests. »I think it’s a gift that comes from my family,« Rubén says. His inspiration arises when he takes the first look at the piece of wood he is going to work with. He uses either new wood or dried reeds salvaged from the river.
