Located in Balnarring, Australia this building is a cherry on the cake of an already beautiful landscape. It borders a pond and is surrounded by trees and meadow.
Glazed wall saturates the interior with nature and natural light
The retreat is very practical as it is equipped with a series of modular features. Each of the plywood walls contain folding components — a pull down bed, desk, and book shelves, which allows the transformation of the interior into an area for entertaining, meditating, yoga, or catching up on work.
The project is signed by Branch Studio Architects, who have been deserving for many successful and unique projects. Their purpose was to embody the idea of a retreat and slowing down and celebrating craftmanship and integrity of materiality instead of technology.
