The 26-year-old professional big-mountain extreme skier Lexi DuPont spends most of the year traveling to competitions and shoots. When she returns to Idaho, DuPont has a 500-square-foot geodesic dome—complete with wooden shingles, a cow skull, and riverside hot springs—waiting for her. It’s a funky, idyllic, meditative spot perfect for her.
Some people have flower gardens and she has an ice garden. Her home is slowly becoming an igloo with all the snow. However, the igloo must be regularly maintained and the icicles removed.
The cow skull was given to her by her best friend and it also scares the birds away.
Lexi observes the beautiful landscape through this window and she finds it very peaceful to see this amazing nature every morning.
The majority of the furniture came from her travels and it is a collection of unique pieces.
The apartment includes a kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom and a loft for her friends plus her own bedroom.
Since the house is very small, a gear shed was necessary to store all of her equipment and things that did not fit inside.
